There is a place named Garam Chashma in Chitral, Pakistan. The Two words “Garam” and “Chashma” are from Urdu language. Garam means “hot” and Chashma means “springs”. The name given to this area is due to actually the naturally hot springs present there. Garam Chashma a beautiful place surrounded with mountains having natural beauty. The place where there are springs is spread in vast area and there are many springs. As Garam Chashma is cold area. Local people mostly use this water for washing and cleaning purpose. But people also believe that this water is good for skin disease, weight loss, sugar and legs pain etc. For this people from many places visit and take bath in this hot spring. Also, national and international tourists visit this area to see its beauty.
Garam Chashma is one of the many branch valleys of Chitral District, situated in the extreme north-west of Pakistan. It is one of the highest human settlements in the Hindukush ranges with an altitude of almost 2550 meters. Other features of the area include snow-covered peaks, pleasant weather, and natural springs.
The place is known for Hot spring, which is one of the tourist’s attraction sites. It is also famous for its trout fish. The water flowing down through the length of the valley is famous for fishing sport. The Lotkoh River (Garam Chashma River) running down from the lofty peaks of the Hindu Kush range is most suitable for the brown type of trout fish.
Besides tourists, people suffering from skin diseases also visit the hot spring for treatment (which is not proven scientifically).
Just like many places in Pakistan, it’s great for family visit due to it’s scenic beauty and other minor tourist spots within the area to visit during the holiday stay at hotel or guest lodge. With multitude of activities available (fishing, swimming, indoor activities and healing), makes this area great for both adults and kids. Many traditional festivals are arranged throughout the Chitral district, while some are spontaneously arranged by local government to encourage tourism.

پاکستان کے چترال میں گرم چشمہ کے نام سے ایک جگہ ہے۔ لفظ "گرم" اور "چشمہ" اردو زبان کے ہیں۔ وہاں موجود قدرتی طور پر گرم چشموں کی وجہ سے اس علاقے کو یہ نام دیا گیا ہے ۔ گرم چشمہ قدرتی حسن سے مالا مال پہاڑوں سے گھرا ہوا ایک خوبصورت مقام ہے ۔ جہاں چشمے ہیں وہ جگہ وسیع و عریض رقبے میں پھیلی ہوئی ہے اور بہت سے چشمے ہیں۔ چونکہ گرم چشمہ سرد علاقہ میں واقع ہے ۔ مقامی لوگ زیادہ تر اس پانی کو دھونے اور صفائی کے لیے استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ لیکن لوگوں کا یہ بھی ماننا ہے کہ یہ پانی جلد کے امراض، وزن میں کمی، شوگر اور ٹانگوں کے درد وغیرہ کے لیے اچھا ہے، اس کے لیے کئی مقامات سے لوگ اس گرم چشمے میں آتے اور نہاتے ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ، قومی اور بین الاقوامی سیاح اس علاقے کی خوبصورتی کو دیکھنے کے لیے آتے ہیں۔
گرم چشمہ ضلع چترال کی بہت سی شاخوں والی وادیوں میں سے ایک ہے جو پاکستان کے انتہائی شمال مغرب میں واقع ہے۔ یہ ہندوکش سلسلوں میں تقریباً 2550 میٹر کی بلندی کے ساتھ بلند ترین انسانی بستیوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ اس علاقے کی دیگر خصوصیات میں برف سے ڈھکی چوٹیاں، خوشگوار موسم اور قدرتی چشمے شامل ہیں۔
یہ مقام گرم چشمہ کے لیے جانا جاتا ہے، جو سیاحوں کے لیے پرکشش مقامات میں سے ایک ہے۔ یہ اپنی ٹراؤٹ مچھلی کے لیے بھی مشہور ہے۔ وادی کی لمبائی سے نیچے بہنے والا پانی ماہی گیری کے کھیل کے لیے مشہور ہے۔ دریائے لوٹکوہ (دریائے گرم چشمہ) جو ہندو کش کے سلسلے کی بلند چوٹیوں سے نیچے آتا ہے، ٹراؤٹ مچھلی کی بھوری قسم کے لیے سب سے سیاحوں کے علاوہ جلد کی بیماریوں میں مبتلا افراد بھی علاج کے لیے گرم چشمہ کا رخ کرتے ہیں (جو کہ سائنسی طور پر ثابت نہیں ہے)۔ پاکستان میں بہت سے مقامات کی طرح، یہ قدرتی خوبصورتی اور علاقے کے اندر دیگر معمولی سیاحتی مقامات کی وجہ سے ہوٹل یا گیسٹ لاج میں تعطیلات کے دوران دیکھنے کے لیے بہت اچھاہے۔چترال ضلع میں بہت سے روایتی تہواروں کا اہتمام کیا جاتا ہے، جب کہ کچھ کا اہتمام مقامی حکومت کی جانب سے سیاحت کی حوصلہ افزائی کے لیے کیا جاتا ہے۔موزوں ہے۔
